The biggest news out of WWDC 2026 was, as widely rumored, the next generation of Siri. Called Siri AI, the AI-boosted assistant will be infused into lots of Apple products like the iPhone, iPad and Mac. You can sign up to get early access to the new Siri AI to get a feel for how it behaves. But since I've already had the opportunity to check out some demos here at Apple Park after the keynote ended, I figured I'd preview it for those of you who don't want to go through the hassle of beta software.
Apple Intelligence for iPhone, iPad and Mac arrives in October
Apple Intelligence is coming next month. The company has revealed that its artificial intelligence platform is arriving on iPhones, iPads and MacBooks with the iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 updates rolling out in October. It will only work on Apple's newer and more powerful devices, though, including the iPhone 15 Pro and the upcoming iPhone 16 models, as well as MacBooks and iPads running on M-series chips. In addition, the first batch of Apple Intelligence features will only be available in US English. Support for English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK will be available in December, while for other languages, including Chinese, French, Japanese and Spanish is coming next year.

After months of speculation and a torturous wait for fans, Apple has confirmed its next unveiling event on September 9. Dubbed'It's Glowtime', Apple will launch its next smartphone, the iPhone 16, and its numerous variants during the event at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. But as the 10th anniversary of the tech giant's first ever smartwatch approaches, it may just mark the occasion with a very special new product. Apple is preparing to release the'Apple Watch X' which could feature a radical redesign, according to a leaker. Akin to the iPhone X in 2017 that celebrated a decade of the iPhone, Apple Watch X could mark 10 years since the world glimpsed the first Apple Watch. The claim comes from respected Apple tipster Mark Gurman based in California, who says Apple is'preparing a big update' in his weekly newsletter.
